R. Brent Wisner

Though he obtained his JD in 2010, attorney R. Brent Wisner already has a wealth of experience in the legal world. Most recently he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Helen Gillmor of the United States District Court in Hawaii. Previously, R. Brent Wisner spent four months as a judicial extern for the Honorable Miriam Blank Horn of the United States Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C.

R. Brent Wisner served as a summer associate for the law firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP in Los Angeles, where he researched and prepared memos, smaller motions, and outlines for pending litigation. He also did pro bono work for a client’s child adoption case. The previous year, Wisner took on a summer externship with the civil fraud division of the US attorney’s office in Los Angeles, where he assisted with whistleblower depositions, interviews, and mediations while drafting various legal memorandums. R. Brent Wisner also took on the role of research assistant with Professor John Hasnas at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC.

R. Brent Wisner also gained legal experience prior to enrolling in law school. He assumed a legislative internship with the office of US Senator Barbara Boxer, where he compiled speaking points and conducted research for oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Additionally, R. Brent Wisner served as a legal intern with the Institute on Religion and Public Policy, where he focused on creating documents pertaining to human rights. He penned a US House of Representatives resolution regarding the imprisonment of a UN official in Bangladesh.

Presently, R. Brent Wisner serves clients at the law firm of Baum, Hedlund, Aristei & Goldman, PC.
